Sometimes, it is amazing where one can find inspiration. I will be the first to admit that this quote was taped inside a port-o-let at the DFW 3 Day Breast Cancer Walk, held this weekend.

To everyone who volunteered their time this weekend to help the walkers make it to their goal, you lived some perfect days this weekend. They repayed you this evening when they crossed the finish line. I am proud to be a member of this wonderful profession.

One of my favorite comments from the weekend was..."Athletic trainers are the best people to work the medical tent. They can do this stuff better than any other medical professional." Hearing that was so awesome. Yes, we are the best at that "stuff." Yes, we are medical professionals. And the best part, was the woman was a little older, not our typical crowd. That means that she has encountered an athletic trainer who has made a difference in her life. This is the type of professional recognition many of us are striving for. It definitely made me proud to be a part of this group.
